The attention to detail in our room was impeccable and there was nothing that the staff wouldn't do for you. For a relaxing break away from the norm I can not recommend this place highly enough. "Our stay at Somerville House was excellent. Sheila and Steve were very welcoming and provided everything to make our stay comfortable. The breakfasts were absolutely first class, the beds were extremely comfortable and the room had plenty of storage space. The beautiful garden was quiet and colourful with plenty of garden tables and chairs to use and a large canopy for shade which Steve put up for us. We had a choice of leaflets providing information about local places to visit and Sheila's suggestions helped us enjoy some lovely days out during our stay. We will definitely return! "An historic building. Large hotel which is is pretty well maintained. Staff were all great and really pleasant. Very surprised how good the food was. We had 3 course menu in what was a busy restaurant. Food arrived quickly and was excellent. Room was large with a comfortable bed. Overall an excellent weekend and yes I would go back."

"Fantastic hotel in a very peaceful setting with great views of Ludlow castle and the gorgeous countryside. Had a beautiful room with views of the castle. Staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast served in the dining room with beautiful countryside views. Ludlow town is within easy reach on foot, crossing over the river before climbing the hill alongside the castle. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel."
