"The building, dining area and bar are very nice. My room was great. I had a difficult journey due to traffic and severe weather so hadn't booked to eat. They served me a meal, so I was lucky, but food service closed around 8pm. The waiter asked me to tip. I was going to anyway, as always do unless service is bad. But staff should not ask customers to tip. We are not in the USA."

"Staff great, place fantastic, food lovely, hot water in room oddly intermittent! Thing's that let the place down were on the first night fire exit had rubbish bags blocking it and cleaning staff blocked narrow corridors with piles of sheets. Both matters raised with management, this was dealt with."
