The back half was built in 1753 and the front half in the 1780, yet this historic home had all the conveniences of the modern world: snug windows, heated bathroom floor, and easy to control heatng. "We have stayed at 84 Main in the past and love the property. We have stayed in the penthouse and highly recommend for larger parties. This time it was just my husband and I and our children. This 2 bedroom was perfect. Clean, spacious, and wonderful location. Staff is always friendly and helpful."

"Rented this home for 2 nights. Had everything we needed, no concerns. Peaceful back yard for morning/evening nature watching. Hot tub was a very nice touch. Easy check-in. Good A/C, which I've learned is about 50/50 in Maine. That was a very welcomed sight! Only *very* minor issue was bed size. They're on the smaller size, but that's nitpicking. Great home!"
