"Because of the name Ocean Resort, we actually thought we would see the ocean from the resort. The shower/tub was difficult to enter and exit. The tub was slippery. "The hotel sits steps from the ocean. If you get the ocean view you can sit on the terrace and watch the sun rise. Beautiful! You’re close to restaurants and a wonderful walking path. Bed is large though sheets though clean were worn. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Room was shabby in spots. Some of the staff were friendly and on top of things. "Enjoyed the home like comfort of the suite. Walking to the beach was easy. Nice setting for the grouping of accommodations. The suite got a bit warm in the afternoon but we were usually out by then. Cooled down nicely in the evening though with all the air moving through the unit. The beach chairs and beach umbrella, although missing a spoke, was very nice for the beach. There was some traffic noise in the bedroom so had to keep the jalousie windows closed. It did die down early in the evening...

"I enjoyed my stay at the Aston Islander. The property is well maintained and right on the ocean. There are number of dining and shopping options within walking distance. I especially liked the Happy hour at the bar by the pool — good place to talk to fellow travelers. The room itself was in pretty good shape but could use some touch up paint. The bed could have been better located — it was directly under the AC unit. Overall, I recommend and I’d stay here again. "

"Friendly staff, all of the amenities you need on site with equipment you can rent and take to the beach. Room was clean and my girlfriend and I loved having a kitchen, washer/dryer, and balcony in our room. Bring earplugs! All over the island the roosters crow allll night long. "
