"The hotel itself is starting to show its age (loud AC, shabby rooms). This, however, is more than compensated for by its great location. It is so convenient being able to walk to dinner, bars, and shops. in Kailua (parking there sucks). Also a big thanks to the staff at Don's Mai Tai and Restaurant. They were extra nice to us. Food was quite good (I usually have low expectations for hotel restaurants). Great vacation. Would return. "

"While the condo was in an ideal location in Kona, the amenities at the property were less than what I expected. The shower and bathroom sink were filthy. There were several hairs in the shower the day we arrived and what looked like toothpaste in the bathroom sink. The bathroom mirror was also dirty, with water spots all over it. The condo needs a good overall cleaning, as there was dust and dirt all over the walls, fans, decorations, etc. It is also a little outdated. The TV should be updated...
