"We had a fabulous time and snorkeled every day at one of the best beaches on the island! Terry responded quickly when we didn't have hot water and had the hot water tank replaced as soon as possible. The cottage is very spacious and equipped with many extras in the kitchen. The bathrooms could use some more towels and wash rags, but we were able to wash the existing towels throughout the week because there's a washer/dryer and laundry detergent. There's no AC which bothered some in our party,...

"We had a wonderful time in this private little cottage. Good location, with shops and restaurants nearby. Great ocean views. Btw, the Maui Aquarium is a great stop for an afternoon and lunch in the outdoor restaurant was very good. "

"Enjoyed staying in a quiet peaceful neighborhood within walking distant to the beach. Having our own space and deck was relaxing after a busy day exploring the island."

"This place was a great option for staying on Maui and being able to get to just about everywhere. It’s a great place to begin a trip down the Road to Hana, and there are a lot of good places to eat in the city. Highly suggest trying JJ’s Tacos food truck just blocks away. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked very well for a good nights sleep. "

It's a little bit outdated, yes, but that didn't bother me at all considering it looked exactly like the listing (even better in my opinion), and was very clean, functional, and still very charming. We really enjoyed eating dinner and watching sunsets on the adorable lanai, and the shared pool in the complex was great! We would definitely rent this place again if we ever return to...

"My wife and I stayed in the Gingerbread House for a week in June. Eve welcomed us and helped us get oriented with the area, even suggesting places to visit and restaurants to check out. She was very quick to respond to questions. The location of the Gingerbread House itself is generally located in the middle of Maui away from the resorts, where we were able to enjoy a more authentic Hawaiian experience. "We stayed in the two bedroom cottage next to the main house and it was great -- spacious and had all the things you could want. The location directly across from the beach was great and it was a very short drive to everything else."

"Some things were not working in our room, e.g. master bedroom balcony door would not open, table in the balcony was very wobbly, dryer was not operating properly. All these issues were resolved by the staff when I called them, but they seem to be basic checks that property management should have checked before giving us keys and not have me call about them. "

"Great property in perfect location adjacent to walking path & snorkeling beach. We loved our one-bedroom unit and enjoyed the resorts amenities including pools and restaurants. Well maintained, very clean, friendly staff, wish we could have extended our stay, but not easy to do at a timeshare property like you can at a hotel. That said, we wouldn't hesitate to return, next time for a longer visit. Mahalo!"

"Gorgeous views of Black Rock and Kaanapali Beach from our balcony. Beautiful sunsets. The best snorkeling is at Black Rock. We saw a dozen spotted rays, lots of turtles, and hundreds of fish in the coral reef past the diving rocks. Walk to Whaler's Village for dining and shopping. The best resort on the best beach!"
