The Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka'anapali

4.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (662)
"The good: Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, lots of amenities and one of the top beach fronts in the world. Clean rooms, comfy beds, nice views either side. The not so good: For a hotel that is not all-inclusive the price is steep (over 800 a night), but I did stay during Christmas so that may have been a factor. Also, the rooms were Marriott level quality - which is not to say that its bad, but you expect a higher quality with Westin Hotels, especially at that price point. "

Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa

4.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very Good, (1005)
"The Sheraton is a very well kept property. The staff is very friendly and prompt. The Luau is fantastic! If you have a vehicle while staying at the Sheraton, be aware of the Luau nights. Valet gets super busy, so you are better off self parking. This is a resort, so there are a lot of kids here. We stayed from Dec 26 to Jan 2 so during a peak vacation time for families. "

The Whaler Resort Kaanapali Beach

4.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (129)
"We were very pleasantly surprised at how well run The Whaler is. We weren’t sure what to expect knowing that all of the units are privately owned, but it was run essentially like a hotel, with a concierge desk, front desk, house keeping etc. Everything was very clean, including all walkways, elevators and bathrooms near the reception desk. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with everything. We will definitely be back!"

AEI at Kaanapali Shores

4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (318)
"I’m giving this good ratings but I did want to comment on a few issues. Overall, we enjoy this place and it was our 2nd time back. We stayed in room 823. The toilet in the master was not working right and I noticed it right away when we arrived. It had a small bit of water running all the time so it always made noise. My 2nd complaint with this unit was that there were a lot of small/medium size cockroaches all over. I probably killed 15-30 of them but it didn’t seem to make a difference....
