"Check in and out procedure very "clunky"-not easy. Difficult to find office and parking. Was told to park in a certain lot for check-in and offloading bags. Could not get past that parking lot gate. The whole area is confusing to someone not familiar with Playa del Mar. Did enjoy the stay and the pool. Was not told that I needed to bring back towel cards or I would be charged for towels-had to find out from others. Too much guesswork/rules etc."

"We had such a great time at Carlos' property in Humacao. Palmas del Mar is a great location with many beaches, pools, shops and restaurants within the community, as well as lots of additional amenities within Humacao proper. The property that we had originally booked had a maintenance issue shortly before our stay, so Carlos moved us to another of his properties, in Mare Sereno, which was absolutely gorgeous. "This property was perfect for our “girls trip”. Felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Property supplied beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards. The view from the porch was gorgeous. Only complaint is the temperature in the condo. The main level and master bedroom was chilly while the other two bedrooms were at least 15-20 degrees warmer. "The unit is clean and very well equipped. There is an abundance of towels and supplies ….more than in many other places we have stayed. The balcony was a great place to hang out and the shape of it ensured you could find a shady spot if you wanted.The only thing we were a little disappointed on were the number of restaurants within walking distance. We did however rent a car which is good because uber/taxi was a little difficult to get. The ones we did go to were awesome!Loved the pools...

"Though there was an issue with my room, the first couple of days, I was quickly placed in another villa. It was beautiful. I enjoyed it, however, I was not given complete information. I had to repack my belongings a couple days later to be moved back to the original villa. It too was very nice but it was quite an inconvenience to have to spend a day moving my belongings. i lost a lot several hours of vacation time."
