"The ryokan is very convenient, it is close to Nara park and railway station. Staff is friendly and helpful, the hot tub is a huge plus although you may need to learn the manner of using it beforehand and it's a bit small, the capacity is 2 persons. However there is no passenger lift available, if you hate stairs you may need to reconsider."

"Very traditional Japanese ryokan. Vast majority of guests are Japanese and so is authentic but also a bit weird… that’s to say, it doesn’t cater to foreigners. Can’t decide if the decor is stuck in the 1980s or if this is just Japanese taste. We had one of the fancy rooms with a private lounge and a private bath tub (could fit 2 small people) overlooking the mountain and lake. This was lovely. Public baths were on 3rd floor, but we didn’t use those. Stayed for 2 days, so ate 2 elaborate...

"My stay was wonderful, offering an authentic and peaceful Kyoto experience. The traditional ambiance, with tatami mats and sliding shoji doors, and zen like garden made me feel fully immersed in Japanese culture. The staff were kind and attentive, guiding me through the ryokan customs with care. Breakfast was a beautifully presented, with fresh, seasonal ingredients. The onsen bath was also incredibly relaxing. I highly recommend this ryokan for anyone seeking a genuine Japanese experience!"

"Amazing ryokan stay in the heart of Kyoto; there’s a public bath you can try which is traditional and fun way to shower / bathe. When you check in they pour you tea and give you traditional sweet; they then go through breakfast times; breakfast in the room is amazing and must try. The set up of the beds was also done seamlessly and everyone was super courteous and polite - thank you for a great stay! "
