"lili kyoto is not a typical hotel. It is small — three units on the ground floor, probably about the same on the floor above (I didn’t take the elevator up to check). It is totally unstaffed; to get in the front door you must obtain a code from the owner/manager. I got mine by having a nice lady in the Kyoto railway station tourist office call the owner/manager, who promptly emailed instructions. The front “lobby” and hallway are unheated. "Basically a self serve guesthouse. Was not used to waking 3 flights down to take a shower, no hanger for towels at the public washing basin and inside pf public toilet, and no TV. But after a couple of days I got used to it and it was OK. Location very convenient ot subways and buses. Price is right also."

"We loved staying here for our one night trip in Kyoto. The room itself is clean and its Japanese style room. Shared bathrooms and showers. It doesn’t have elevator so I wouldn’t recommend to stay here if you have heavy luggages and staying for longer duration. "

"I booked the large concept room for my family of 4 and we were very impressed at how large the apartment was! We had lots of room that fit the 4 of us comfortably. The bath and shower were spacious. "This was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Everything was so clean and comfortable, the walk from the station only took our group about 5-6 minutes and the property was beautiful. This will be my go to hotel every time I visit Osaka from now on. "

"We had a great stay at Nohga hotel! The hotel is conveniently located about an 8 minute walk from the train station, and walking distance from Kiyomizu temple and the famous Sanenzaka and Ninenzaka streets. The hotel has a modern organic style, cute lobby with bakery that was always bustling, and a great rooftop bar with great cocktails and views. Every staff member was extremely polite and friendly, and the service was top notch. Our room was on the smaller side but was thoughtfully laid out and had everything we needed and was very clean, and it was enough space to open our luggage which is more than many Japanese hotels. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great place to stay in Kyoto!!"

Loved it!

"When arriving, not only was the lobby beautiful with a view - but the staff was very friendly and even upgraded us to a bigger room without asking! The room itself was VERY spacious, clean, the bathroom and shower area was so nice - they had everything you could possibly need (ie toothbrush/toothpaste, brush, facial products, shower products, hair dryer, etc). I’ve found beds in Japan are never comfy but these were actually better than other hotels. The room view was so pretty. I have nothing bad to say, I will absolutely be staying here again if I come back to Kyoto!"
