"Had a 10 night stay in Swissotel Grand Shanghai and enjoyed the great service throughout. All their service staff were very warm and friendly. The hotel itself is a little dated, given its an old building, but relatively well maintained. Our original room window wasn't able to close properly after we ventilated the room, the staff quickly accepted our request for a room change and even upgraded us to a slightly better room at no charge, and gave us free breakfast to go with for our remaining...

"Within walking distance of Line 2 subway, the hotel is decent with adequate facilities of what a business hotel should be. The gym is contracted out as a commercial gym so it's busier than an exclusive one. There isn't much to see around the hotel so you will have to know where to go on your own or that doesn't bother you at all (ie business trips). Rooms are bigger than average but the mini bar is empty (perhaps the convenience store is too proximate?)."

My housekeeper always made sure I had plenty of the complimentary bottled water. The Chinese acrobats theater is right across the street too. At first, I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights as part of a tour I had purchased. When the tour ended, I stayed in Shanghai another night.
