"Great neighborhood. Lots of shopping and within walking range to many attractions. Dining options are everywhere. Room has amazing views of the city. Some minor maintenance issues needed to be addressed in the room. Otherwise great stay. "

"Absolutely enjoyed my experience staying here at Mandarin Oriental, Shanghai. Was given a complimentary upgrade for their executive club and was treated like a king. Staff was highly attentive and accommodating throughout the entire stay and even compensated one of our room service dinners since our neighbor was making a lot of noise moving boxes 12AM. Overall was a pleasant experience and look forward to my next visit. "

"Liked the option of double queen beds which was difficult to find in other hotels. Breakfasts were excellent. Pool and gym were small but sufficient. Highly recommend for stays with children. "

"The pillows are way too thin. Even though the bed is comfortable but the pillows make it not a restful sleep. Also rooms are a little dated "

I rated it 3 stars for the area around the property because I feel like the location would be better as it was a bit far from everything, the Mixc mall kind of made up for it but personally I would have liked it better if it was closer to central, or on the other side near the Shanghai Towers. I liked how there was privacy and it was not a busy hotel "
