"In the hotel, although some of the decorations were tacky because of Lunar New Year. Which has the power because it was close to the Historic Dutch colonial area of Jakarta, which was huge disappointment. The doorman insisted on calling us a taxi instead of letting us go to the street, said it would be four minutes, and 15 minutes later said the taxi had canceled and he would call another. We walked out in the street and held a taxi in less than one minute. The breakfast buffet was beautiful...

The a/c in my room sounded very asthmatic but it lasted the week and worked well. Opposite the hotel is a bus station if that's your thing, one stop away from the main north-south route which will get you anywhere in Jakarta. They are easy to use but you need to buy a swipe card.
