"Hotel is in a perfect location but it seriously needs updating and a fresh coat of paint. Rooms very shabby. I stayed in a ‘superior’ room but not superior in my opinion . I had to ask for toiletries as they were all empty or nearly empty. Reception staff friendly and helpful. I felt 10am check out was a bit early "

"I'll cut to the chase with this one. If you're expecting all the frills, you won't get them. HOWEVER... Its an absolute bargain and certainly ideal for a short break. The hotel itself may be in need of some work (and it looks like some of that work has started), but ultimately, its clean, comfortable, ideally located given its very close proximity to the railway station etc, and even the noise issues that people had raised in other reviews wasnt an issue. You might get a bit of background noise but its not offputting and what do you expect? Its in the town centre next to a railway station and a ferry port. I still managed a good nights sleep. Check in was also very straightforward and easy too. Definitely recommended for anyone who needs a place to get a good nights kip for the next days adventures. 👍"

"There is a bar on the property that was loud on the last night of my stay. There is only a small parking lot in the back . That allows for about eleven vehicles And it is gravel so hard to wheel your luggage. Also there is no elevator and narrow stairs, made it hard to get my luggage up to the room."
