"really an amazing deal"

"Our room was done very beautifully and artistically and overlooked the Sassi Barisano for a great view. The bathroom is American sized and the room contained a large closet and cute balcony. It sits on a main piazza just a couple minutes to any of the major sites. Mimmo was an excellent host and even if we said the room didn’t need to be cleaned since we were staying only two nights, he had it cleaned anyway. We enjoyed our stay!"

"La struttura si trova a pochissimi chilometri dal centro di Matera ed è circondata da un giardino non molto grande, ma molto curato ed accogliente. Si respira grande serenità, silenzio ed armonia nei dintorni ed è stato un piacere rilassarsi per qualche minuto sulle panchine collocate fuori la stanza. "Almost everything was excellent......except for the fact that it was advertised as providing free parking, and it didn’t. I had to pay for overnight parking in a public garage.....which cost almost $30 for the night. Also, Livingston’s is really a B and B, not a hotel, and, as such, was difficult to find because, even though it’s on the Main Street in Matera, there was only a small sign attached to the building to identify it. I have found that situation in several smaller Hotels.com...

"The apartment was perfect! Spacious, with lovely historic touches and modern conveniences, and the most spacious bathroom we've encountered on our travels. Such a generous breakfast, too and varied array of snacks! The host was also very helpful with local restaurant recommendations. Since we arrived in early January, we particularly appreciated that the host had turned on the heating beforehand, so on our arrival, the apartment was already pleasantly warm. What a warm welcome, thank you!...
