"We had such a lovely 2 night stay here! The lodge was in pristine condition, with all necessities like tea, coffee, milk. The hot tub was ready for us to get in. There were plenty of useful extras like iron, travel cot, hairdryers, plenty of toilet rolls. There was an en-suite with shower and a family bathroom too. "The stay was great, everything was as published. It is quiet and secuded...so if you arrive after dark in fog like we did, have a flashlight/torch handy to help make your way from the parking area to the house. We ate at the nearby pub and had a nice meal. The host was super responsive to our communication via VRBO. It was located about 15 minute drive to York."

"This particular house/client charged us for two separate nights and two separate cleaning charges. I spoke to these people before our trip and was promised a call back to look at the double cleaning charges. We heard nothing!!! I/we will refuse to comment on the premises until we get some retribution or better still a refund I have copied this item and will let potential new customers know of there inefficiency regards Gw a very disappointed customer"

"An excellent place to stay and only a twenty minute walk from centre of York. The property was very clean and tidy and we would certainly recommend it."

"Absolutely fabulous place to stay! Exactly as described with everything you need for a break away. Hot tub was a great touch in wonderful little garden with lights. So clean and a pleasure to stay there. Lovely little touch with welcome basket on arrival. Would highly recommended!"

"The house is in a good location and quiet residential area, on street parking was never a problem, always a space. We did have an issue with the cleaning, which was rectified quite quickly. There is room for improvement in some areas which I have highlighted to the owners. "

"The house is on a quiet lane only yards from the busy centre of the town. As expected, the parking space was tight, but with care we managed to get our large car into it, but could also park on a nearby street with a permit organised by the host. The house had all the facilities we expected, though some were showing signs of wear with a few small maintenance tasks being due. "We chose this property because it had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and was within walking distance of the city centre. There was no parking permit ( car parking in York is very expensive and we had two cars with us) but we managed to get some on street parking a few minutes walk away. The space was adequate for the five adults and baby in our family. "The annexe was beautifully clean - carpet in the main area rather than the hard flooring that many properties have these days - (although I understand why as it's probably easier to clean than carpet) however, that made it very cosy & so warm. "Overall a good stay. Needs a bit of TLC to the paintwork. Bathroom is quite small but adequate, & bedroom space was small ie bed against the wall. Stayed in deluxe studio apartment it was nice to sit on chairs instead of bed to watch tv. Nice kitchen area if you want to cook something simple. "Lovely little property located in a quaint village:) Staff members were super friendly on arrival and the whole check in/out process was smooth. The property has a lot of charm but needs a little tlc. The bathroom is basic and shower not great but the rest of the facilities in the room were good. The bed was a little on the hard side and very squeaky. Overall a good stay and for what we paid we were happy :) thank you x"
