"The in-room mineral bath was so rejuvenating. The shuttle service to near-by train stations was convenient. The meals were “out of this world” scrumptious and unique to Japan salmon, tuna, barracuda, etc). The staff were kind and gracious (and busy). This place is a gem! If I ever find my way back to this area, I will definitely return!"

"The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Provided what we needed at request. We wish was that in them knowing we had a vehicle, that they were able to direct us to a nearby parking lot with affordable pricing. The signs are confusing at times. We ended up paying ¥3400 the first night for overnight parking and ¥6100 the second night in the nearby lots. Other than that, the room was clean except a little black mold near the AC unit. Deep. cleaning could be better. Happy with our 2 night stay...

"I really like this place. It was very cool and relaxing while there. The service was great and the lobby was very relaxing with very comfortable furniture. The place was a little walk uphill from the bus station and getting taxis were not easy depending on when you arrive. The downside was the shower took a long time to get hot and the water from the shower head in my room felt like sharp things because of the shower head. They should be changed. "Loved the stay at Kounso. The room was spacious and had extra bedding that could be used to fit your preference. I was not sure about the shared bath, but each room reserves time slots, so you do not bath with strangers. I loved the cypress bath, it was perfect after a long day. I chose not to use the room heater because of the kerosene smell. Instead, the kotatsu table kept me plenty warm for this time of year. "Host was extremely hospitable, thoughtful, and friendly. We came around 10 at night after getting lost due to some map reading error and he was helpful in getting our luggage upstairs. "初めて宿坊に宿泊写経や瞑想ができます。朝はお祓いをすると講中安全の守り札を授けてくださいます。内風呂、露天風呂もあり（浴衣の柄は選べます。ボディーシャンプー、シャンプー、コンディショナー、ブラシ、綿棒、バスタオル×１、手ぬぐいタオル×１あり、垢すりなし＝宿泊用を持って行って正解）夕食や朝食は大山の豆腐料理をとても美味しくいただきました。ただ一つ冷蔵庫がありませんでした（アンケートに記載しました）周辺には飲料の自販機がありますが、コンビニはありません（部屋には温かいお茶あり）それを知っていたので、オヤツは下山時にこま参道で芋ようかんや餅まんじゅうを購入。また宿に向かう下り坂の途中に良弁まんじゅうのお店があり単品で購入。美味しくいただきました。お陰様で素敵な大山参りができました。また機会があれば泊まりたい宿坊です。（Expediaで予約できる大山の宿坊は今のところココだけかも知れませんね）ありがとうございます（感謝）"
