"I loved my stay at Hakone Airu. It was peaceful, quiet and the staff were able to speak English. The facility was very tourist friendly. I absolutely loved the private onsen and being able to dip in and out whenever we liked. The lounge space next to the private onsen is such a bonus. The bathroom and shower were very clean as well. The only slight discomfort was the fact the shower is exposed to the outside so can be very cold when you initially step in the shower during winter time. "

Don’t expect it to be very modern, but the staff are truly exceptional and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. Short walk to the cable car stop and easy access to Gora trains. I wish I’d stayed longer."
