"When we arrived at the property after 14 hours of traveling, we found everything to be unacceptable. The bathroom had not been cleaned, there was no hangers in the closet, and years of toxic cleaning products (77) were left on the bathroom floor and cabinet next to the mini fridge. The unit was advertised as having a kitchenette. There is no sink or counter space. How can one cook or clean dishes with this condition. We had to eat all our meals out. They did deliver ant hangers during our week...

"Close to the beach, lots of chairs, umbrellas, boogey boards to share. If they would just lose the basketball that everyone seems to like bouncing in the courtyard at odd hours of the day, it'd be perfect. "

"This is a perfect place to stay the night.....or several especially if traveling solo. Everything is within walking distance which was so nice! Loved the amenities (esp the pool deck area) and the apartment was cute and cozy."

"First time at The Modern. The staff was always welcoming and courteous. Embodying the Aloha Spirit. I stayed in a king room, partial ocean view on the ninth floor. The room was clean and comfortable. Daily housekeeping was very thorough. There is an adult wading pool area which was relaxing. The main pool is small but I didn’t see it crowded though most of my days were away. Waikīkī shops are walkable, albeit long walk. Suggest you take an Uber/Lyft. I would stay there again. "

"Everything was great:) the resort has everything you’d need for a great time with family. Close to shopping malls as well. We stayed at the Ali’i with an oceanfront room and it was beautiful. Clean rooms, wrap around balcony and private pool. The gym at the Ali’i was small but we had access to all the towers and was able to utilize the gym at another tower which was huge. Would stay here again without a doubt. "
