"My daughter and I had a great time. Two items: 1. hot tub listed in the description, but none was available 2. didn't know about the noise from the frogs (didn't bother me) but my daughter needed to get some ear plugs. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The host Ruth and her dog Buddy were very friendly and pleasant. Would stay there again."

Watch the Yellow Tangs up against the lava rocks every morning and if you’re lucky you also see spinning dolphins (we saw them twice around 7:15 am, as well as 2 years ago). I love to snorkel and you can walk 10 mins to Kahalu’u for the biggest variety of fish you will see anywhere on the island (2 steps is a 30 min drive, which I recommend, but not as varied). "Hali’i Kai a quiet resort tucked into the Waikolo area. Its townhomes stretch from oceanfront, back to golf views. Watch for whales from its beautiful, family-friendly pool. Food and drink options, as well as a small gym are also located there. Our units furnishings were somewhat dated, but clean and comfortable. A beach cooler, sand toys, and boogie boards were available for our use. If you’re looking for a smaller, more private resort, I’d definitely recommend Hali’i Kai"
