"We found The Big Island Rereat to be just as good as the pictures! It was easy to find right off Ali'i drive. Check in and out were both very easy. We stayed in the Ocean View room which was just as advertised. There is no AC which is in the room description so there was no surprise. Ceiling fan and to other larger standing fans kept the air moving through the room. There is a common area which has beach chairs to use and some snorkel gear and boogie boards as well and an outdoor kitchen...

"This is a beautiful property on a hill overlooking a coffee farm with a view of the ocean in the distance. Heidi and Dan were outstanding hosts, available whenever we had any requests or questions, and if they didn't have an answer right away, they would look it up and get back to us pronto. They gave us a royal welcome at 10:30pm when we first arrived. And the 2 course gourmet breakfasts, absolutely out of this world! Every morning we had something different, cooked to utmost deliciousness....

"Loved my stay in this Bed and Breakfast. Rebecca made me feel welcomed from the minute I walked in. Her breakfast was delicious and she's a sweet lady. The property has AMAZING Views!!!. My room was great and the overall experience was fantastic. I would only stay here on my next trip!!. "

"While the condo was in an ideal location in Kona, the amenities at the property were less than what I expected. The shower and bathroom sink were filthy. There were several hairs in the shower the day we arrived and what looked like toothpaste in the bathroom sink. The bathroom mirror was also dirty, with water spots all over it. The condo needs a good overall cleaning, as there was dust and dirt all over the walls, fans, decorations, etc. It is also a little outdated. The TV should be updated...

"Great surfer hotel (even if you’re not a surfer). Each room has a view of breaking waves and the hotel salt water pool looks out on the ocean. The hotel is simple yet nicely decorated and adequate free parking. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"We enjoyed our stay here. The property itself is located conveniently off the main road. About a mile in each direction, north and south are beaches, shopping and dining. We had teenagers with us and they loved that freedom and convenience of walking to these activities. The Check-In process was easy enough. We booked two units and requested to be together. They couldn't place us in the same unit (it's a duplex condo design) but accommodated us by placing us near each other. The bedrooms,...
