"The cabin was perfect for my family of 4! The cabin was clean and decorated so nicely! We loved the nature theme! The hosts were so thoughtful with the items available to us like dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent. The basement floor is finished but empty- I can’t wait to see what they do with that space. Bonus- we saw the northern light from Skyline drive and from the cabin on our 2nd night there! "

"This is our second time staying at The Outlook this year. As before we were greeted by deer on the property. They didn't seem bothered by us at all. The cabin was sparkling clean and linens and towels were made up and ready. The view across the valley was wonderful with the trees changing into their fall colors. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the utensils we would need to make dinner. We stayed for two full days and didn't run out of things to do. We hiked in Cacapon State Park and...

"This cabin is amazing! Very authentic, mountain cabin and a more modern basement for variety. We loved it! Only issues were minor, such as low water pressure, especially when more than one of us was showering, no hot water in the downstairs shower, and ants on the kitchen counter, but no biggies, we still loved it and would do it again! Hopefully we’ll get back someday!"

"We are a group of Civil War reenactors that were in town for the Battle of Cedar Creek reenactment. The house and property are beautiful and clean. There was a small issue with the electricity that was resolved quickly. Some of the outside lights (dusk/dawn light above main stairs) didn’t come on. Overall, we highly recommend this house and property. The gorgeous location and beautiful house make for a great getaway. "

"Nice home with lots of room. The location was great and a short walk downtown. The additional steps up to 2 baths and bedrooms were treacherous. We had issues with the front door lock that were not addressed while we were there. This caused the front door to blow open during a storm on Sunday night. Our first impression upon arrival would have been better had the grass been mowed."
