"This was our first stay under the new ownership and it didn't disappoint. Staff were very welcoming at check-in and throughout our stay. The decor has been updated and Sheldon House now looks far more 'colourful'. I rarely read the guest information, however the folder was inviting and I am glad that I opened it. The information contained within was very engaging and helpful, especially as I established that at some point it was called The Burley Sheldon Hotel. I need to check my husband's...

"We enjoyed the setting on a quiet street, the kindness of the hosts, and the comfortable accommodations. A simple and very adequate buffet breakfast was available for an extra fee, which worked for us. There was the offer of a more elaborate breakfast as well (eggs, etc).Enjoyed a friendly chat w host Brian during breakfast. We could easily return to Cranston House!"
