"Beautiful property with new private cabins. Common area exceptional- with clean new restrooms and fully equipped kitchen/dinning area. Stream and waterfall is beautiful running below the cabins. Peaceful with the gurgling steam and chirping frogs. Sunrises on the hill is an added plus. Axel was extremely welcoming and educated us on the trees And plants he has planted. He is passionate about his property and happy to share with others. Highly recommend! "

"The room was beautiful and relaxing. I wanted to spend time there! Everything seemed well thought out so the small details made it quite a special experience. The bed and linens were great, the fruit was lovely, and the coffee/tea with the table set was welcoming. I could warm up quickly if it got chilly, and the private patio with rocking chairs was a nice way to enjoy coffee at dawn. "

"It was late at night when we got to this VRBO. The instructions told us to walk down a path that would be lighten but it was completly pitch back and we were walking in the middle of a rainforest. Once we figured out where we were, we typed the code and got the key. We walk in and the place is a mess. Dirty sheets, dirty towels all over, food everywhere, clearly not ready for us to be there. We text the property owner and he thankfully responded quickly. He gave us the code to the other room....

"Great location. We got there at dusk - tropical pathway lights didn't work - most were smashed. Hot tub was not "locked up" as supposed to be - and cloudy. Did not want to chance a UTI so - no tubbing which was the whole reason we picked this little gem. Sink clogged up, wallpaper paper falling off, possible black mold on skylight above bed. No batteries in remote. We left a day early. I hope they fix it up."

"What a perfect little rustic mountain getaway. If you like cooler nights, warm days and peace and quiet than this is where you want to stay. The hot tub was wonderful in its little jungle setting and the cabin treehouse was perfect for our family. Will definitely stay again. "

"This is a beautiful, large house designed and constructed in the 1930s for a wealthy Hilo family. The main interiors are dark wood, with original custom bannisters and similar craftsmanship, and the furnishings are period-correct. "We had an amazing time with our family at the house. We had every thing we needed plus the most fantastic ocean views! Would definitely recommend! We had 9 adults and 1 child. It's a bit of a drive to swimming beaches and one of the bedrooms is only accessed by walking through another bedroom, but we would absolutely go again. The owners were nearby and very helpful too. "
