"What a perfect little rustic mountain getaway. If you like cooler nights, warm days and peace and quiet than this is where you want to stay. The hot tub was wonderful in its little jungle setting and the cabin treehouse was perfect for our family. Will definitely stay again. "

"It was late at night when we got to this VRBO. The instructions told us to walk down a path that would be lighten but it was completly pitch back and we were walking in the middle of a rainforest. Once we figured out where we were, we typed the code and got the key. We walk in and the place is a mess. Dirty sheets, dirty towels all over, food everywhere, clearly not ready for us to be there. We text the property owner and he thankfully responded quickly. He gave us the code to the other room....

"This is a beautiful, large house designed and constructed in the 1930s for a wealthy Hilo family. The main interiors are dark wood, with original custom bannisters and similar craftsmanship, and the furnishings are period-correct. The present owners have upgraded in various ways, including adding in-room air conditioning (we didn't need, but it was nice to have the option), retrofitted bathrooms, kitchen, wiring, and similar. "This was a lovely home sourround by a beautiful landscaping. You must be able to sleep with minimum airconditioning as they turn off every four hours. A/C is controlled by smart devices under the landlords control. This was one of the most miserable experiences we have had in all our years of traveling. "
