"Our stay at the Honey Bear house was magical. The house had a stunning view of the mountains, had all the amenities as advertised, and was really comfortable! We felt on top of the world, yet had all sorts of hiking, a grocery store and other local amenities within a 10 mile radius. The hosts were super responsive to questions from booking to past checkout. We’ll be back to Honey Bear for sure!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Whispering Pines, this property is set in a very quiet and secluded neighborhood near Lake Watauga. Its very cozy inside with multiple fireplaces and enough rooms to spread out when visiting with large groups. The hot tub is located in a perfect spot to provide some privacy. "Ski Roost has a wonderful view from the deck and is equipped with little touches that make for a wonderful stay. There were some yard games and sharpies to decorate rocks on the deck, the retro arcade game was a huge hit with the kids and adults, and the deck fire pit gave warmth while we took in the view in the morning and evening. We noticed a pack and play and stairway gate in a closet that would be so helpful for younger kiddos too. The living room tv was a smart tv that let us sign in to...

"The house could have been cleaner. I did have good communication with the host. I liked having a separate living spaces so that the teenagers had their own space. Make sure you read the amenities. I did not realize that there was not AC that’s my fault for not reading thoroughly. Definitely had to go out and buy some fans. Beautiful view!"

"This stay was terrible. Didn’t see anywhere on listing this place didn’t have AC. Then the power went out so we didn’t have power for a whole day. Payed for late check out and they rental company didn’t tell a realtor so we ended up having to leave early because a house showing. Trash left over from previous tenets."
