"We had a great stay at the Novotel Alster. It was our first visit to Hamburg. The hotel was clean and always smelt lovely. The staff were nice and everything requested was brought up straight away. The breakfast offering was fresh and lovely and I really liked the fresh lemon and ginger tea bar. You are on the door step of the under/overground which was fantastic and about 12 minutes away from the gorgeous town centre. I had no issues and look forward to coming and staying here again. "Excellent location, only a short walk to the Hamburg terminal. Room & bed were comfortable. Restaurant food was good but very slow service. Some construction work going on so not quite as good or organised as they probably normally are. "

"It's in a good location - the train station is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel, but the room I had was VERY small, and the towels were small, and didn't include a washcloth. Also, the bathroom isn't separate, only the toilet. The breakfast was just OK. Would I use the hotel again? yes, but I would not want to unrelated people in the same room. It's two small beds pushed together with very little privacy for showering or going to the bathroom. "

"The wifi registration scheme is refreshingly simple. But it is not fast and reliable enough to carry on a group audio chat. Very annoying"
