Great friendly staff, beautiful linens in rooms, not huge so never overrun, in a quiet area about 12 min taxi from Gatwick airport. Absolutely wonderful food options and portions. "Very friendly, comfortable,and clean. Recently refurbished with up to date essentials but not loosing the 17th century feel. That is well preserved.Good size Showers and bath (not all rooms had a bath). Many local customers relaxing and chatting, and friendly show its popularity and give it a lovely atmosphere of "the good old days". Loved it."
