"The property is in the heart of York, the staff is incredibly helpful and nice, Bella is the best. There are few thing that I didn’t like:, the color of the walls is black, and makes the room look smaller and gloomy, the shower is very dangerous, there is a big step to do to go in and out, and the bottom of it it’s extremely slippery, I risked my life every night and also it doesn’t have a surface where you can put the soap or the shampoo on it, so it is very uncomfortable. But other than that...

"If you’re looking for an authentic old English pub stay then this is it. Such charm and character right in the centre of York. Yes the timber floor squeaks and rooms have a lean to one side but we loved everything about it. The drinks and food were great too. "

"We had the penthouse right at the top of the Inn. Amazing room with lots of space. Small kitchen with cooker and fridge. Tea and coffee facilties, lityle balcony overlooking the main street. "

"The room was clean and well appointed. The service and food in the Chinese restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. The locals in the bar were friendly and invited us to join in a quiz.Alice was a superb host."

"Location is everything and the Feathers is right in the heart of the very lovely Helmsley. Room was very comfortable in an annex at the back of the property. The breakfast was very good, the chef can poach an egg properly which can often be a challenge. Only down side is limited parking, although there are options for free parking at the end of the main square."

"One night stay in May 2024. The White Horse is a pub no more than 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ripon and the cathedral. The rooms are converted stables at the back of the pub. The decor is basic and a little tired but if you’re going to book somewhere like this then you mustn’t expect opulence. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would certainly stay here again on a return trip to Ripon. "
