Enders State Park... The forest was established in 1970 with a 1,500-acre parcel of woodlands donated to the state by the children of John and Harriet Enders. Really wooded .. and Lots if hills but you get off the beaten path!

"My friends and I stayed at aunty Phuong's farmhouse for a weekend, and it was the perfect spot for our little fall foliage getaway! The farmhouse was really cozy and had the perfect dining table for long nights of board games. The kitchen was well stocked. However, make sure to bring your own plastic wrap/tin foils if you anticipate needing these. The property also had a pond nearby, a swing set, and a zipline, all of which made our stay fantastic. "This is such a great property, I spent a whole month with three separate stays adjacent due to travel planning and the host was wonderful. The house is really beautiful and in a great neighborhood and it’s very comfortable and super clean. This will be a regular for me in the Hartford area. I’m looking forward to seeing what the beautiful landscaping is like in the spring and summer too."
