"Carmela couldn't have been a better host - she went above and beyond to provide information and additional amenities to cater for our group (eg. providing advice and a microwave for one of our babies with allergies). The units were spotless and the pool was regularly cleaned (Carmela's husband did this so they were there semi-regularly). There was a technical fault with some of the air-con units but Carmela did everything to rectify it. They also left us local vegetables which were delicious!...

"I had been looking at several villas in the area, but when I saw this one, I knew it was the one I wanted, however in the Vrbo brochure it says it is a short walk to the church, but it is a 15 minute drive, apart from that it looked good. On arrival I was greeted by Salvo who was lovely, his English was not great, but I am trying to learn Italian so it was good practice for me. The villa was even better than it looked. "Das Haus ist wirklich toll und die Vermieter sehr nett. Auch wenn Kleinigkeiten in der Küche gefehlt haben (die vielleicht auch die meisten nicht brauchen wir z.B eine Käsereibe) war eigentlich alles da, was man braucht. Die Vermieter haben auch direkt immer alles vorbeigebracht wenn etwas gefehlt hat. Das Haus ist super Videoüberwacht und gepflegt und man fühlt sich sehr sicher."

"Le Maria is a very nice house with a wonderful pool and garden area. A happy herd of cows lives on the other side of the garden wall and the clanging of their bells gives a tranquil countryside feel. The owners Graziella and Sara were extremely helpful and responsive. We did not have the problems with electricity mentioned in other reviews. The kitchens (there are two) are generally well equipped but some more pots, pans, kitchen knives and chopping boards would be good to have."

"The property was perfect for a family of 6. The kitchen was perfect for cooking all meals. The swimming pool and bbq area fantastic. A very peaceful area and highly recommend visits to Donnalucata and our favourites Scicili, Monica and Ragusa. All a max of 20 mins away. A great host and great place to stay!"

"Photos are accurate. A comfortable rustic house with a lovely garden and pool that provides a secluded peaceful haven for a relaxing time. Surrounded by orange and olive groves. Nice cantina in local village and other restaurants 20 min drive away. Key tourist sites in the east of the island are 1-2 hrs away. You will return home very rested. A warm welcome from Franco, the owner, and Francesca who is a very attentive guide for the visitor, always available on WhatsApp, and speaks great English....

"Nous avons passé 17 jours chez Michele et Angela qui sont vraiment très accueillants et facilitent toutes les démarches et tracas. Michele vous fera découvrir son huile d'olive, les figues de Barbarie toutes préparées etc. Le logement est bien situé et permet de visiter la région facilement, bien entretenu avec évidemment la piscine qui est appréciable pour se rafraîchir.
