"The house is better than the photos portray. It is quiet, feels almost rural, and is within an easy walk to the town square. The garden looks out over the sea across a mini vineyard and beautiful tropical plants. We spent so much time in the southern 'conservatory' where we could enjoy the view and stay cool - even though it was early September when we were there. "A very helpful and friendly host. The accommodation is in need of uprading. The external furniture was of poor quality plastic or old wood without any pads. There were no parasols. The waste disposal arrangements are inadequate. Air conditioning should be installed upstairs as a minimum. The steps up to the town are overgrown and totally unlit. This is not Lucio's fault but he should accurately describe the situation. The property has great potential. Lucio is a superb host"

"We loved this place. Much to rave about and only a few suggestions to improve. Overall 5 star. Having your own personal space but common areas to come together was lovely and the rural location but stones throw to Modica was ideal. The pool and outside eating areas enjoyed much use and in return gave us much joy. "We stayed as a family of 5 adults in August 2023 at Villa Timpazza - it is a great place. Set in large grounds, close (10 mins drive) to several shops, restaurants and towns such as Ispica and Modica, it is a great and luxurious place to stay in Sicily. "We enjoyed a relaxing week at Atem Villa. A wonderful good sized swimming pool, a really nice garden too. The amenities are outstanding, with great views. "We rented the home from July 8-July 12, 2024- 2 families (4 adults & 3 teenagers). We loved the house with all the conveniences we paid for. However, on July 11, there was a power outage from 2-3 am in the morning till the next day when it was restored at ~10pm (19-20 hours without power). We initially were a little tentative because we didn't see other reviews on the property, but we were so glad that we ultimately booked this because it worked perfectly for our family of 4. Villa Silva is so well equipped and our welcome from the owners was so personal and their attention to detail was evident throughout. "This was a great property with lovely rooms, nice staff, good restaurant. Location is ok if you have a car. Great parking with either outside or underground for a small fee. Not close to town so you need a car or transportation to get to town. Not really a walkable location to see anything. But overall a great place to stay while visiting this area. "

What an amazing place

" We had the most peaceful and enjoyable stay at Torre Don Virgilio. The resort is beautifully maintained, with stunning grounds that feature some of the most amazing olive trees we’ve ever seen. The atmosphere was serene and perfect for relaxation. The food was absolutely excellent, offering authentic flavors with a touch of elegance. "Front desk staff was responsive. Restaurant food just ok. Pool area/garden and outdoor dining area nice. Approach from an industrialized setting in the modern (not old) Modica). Beds and pillows too hard. A/C never got cool enough on a hot (94F day). Needs better maintenance, dead plants on our balcony, carpet sometimes threadbare, some walls in our room needed painting,"
