"this hotel was beautiful! so much is included in your stay (plenty of the spa services, the games room, the cabinets of books on each floor, the first round of tea/coffee/fridge things in the room, the courtesy buses), and the staff are all so friendly. we quickly realised how lucky we got by choosing this hotel as it was in such a convenient spot (bus stop just up the road, and driving back from town centre would take 5 mins at the most). the only suggestions for improvement, however,...

"We have been to Funchal on previous trips to Madeira, so we booked this apartment to be close to the beach, above the pools at Doca Do Cavacas. This location is great, also close to some restaurants and a small grocery store for essentials, in the same location. The rooms in the apartment are large, and the bathrooms are new and clean. There are plenty of towels and sheets, but bring your own bath soap, etc. We appreciated having 3 sets of keys and underground parking. There isn't...

"The staff is absolutely exceptional. Very kind, polite, helpful and the nicest people. The location is pretty good too - about a 15-20min walk to old Funchal. The walk back could be longer due to the uphill but nothing too crazy. Parking can be tricky but I never had an issue parking at the lot that was designated for the buildings but not for the hotel. The hotel could really use an upgrade on their rooms however. Possibly a fan as it can get quite hot. The walls are very thin and you can hear...

The place is incredibly well stocked and great walking distance into the city itself.
