"Brilliant breakfast. Central so we could easily walk to the market, cathedral restaurant area, marina. Lots of eateries around from cafes to higher end. On a side street so not a lot of traffic noise. Supermarket 3 min walk. Staff so friendly and helpful and serving staff brilliant, quietly super efficient. Room was very good, balcony, great shower. Cleaned every day. "

"The staff is absolutely exceptional. Very kind, polite, helpful and the nicest people. The location is pretty good too - about a 15-20min walk to old Funchal. The walk back could be longer due to the uphill but nothing too crazy. Parking can be tricky but I never had an issue parking at the lot that was designated for the buildings but not for the hotel. "The property is a 15 minute bus ride from the centre of Funchal, in the Santo Antonio area. We really liked this as it felt like being in a very normal suburban area, even if this area did bring the world Ronaldo!
