Santa Maria - Hostel

1.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (101)
"Central location in a major tourist centre with historical significance for the city, the hostel is close to most attractions. Rooms that face the street also hear the life of the city all night. My twin room was clean, spacious and light. The kitchen is a good social place though has inadequate facilities for the number of people who may actually want to cook/eat in - fridge space, cooking pans, etc. Showers are excellent. Wooden floors very creaky. Staff are warm, welcoming and helpful."

Rochinha’s house with fabulous views over the bay of funchal

9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (46)
"Good communication with Carolina, close to the old town approx 15-20 min walk to cable car, there is a very steep walk back to the property. Property was clean and comfortable We used a taxi driver called Nuno, recommended by Carolina to collect us from the airport, he also took us on a lovely day tour around the north of the island, then back to the airport. The restaurants recommended by...

São Francisco Accommodation

"We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. We spoke mainly with Sonia, who helped us with checking in and was very responsive any time we had a question about recommendations in the area. She was very welcoming and friendly, with lots of great suggestions. The location was great- right near a small park, with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. We appreciated the continental breakfast each morning and the room was really comfortable and clean. Overall, it was a great value for money and we'd...

Residencial Greco

3.0 star property
6.6 out of 10, (162)
"It’s an old building but it was clean, staff were very friendly, everything was good, except that there’s no air conditioning and the fan was very noisy, another aspect is the beds are very hard, if they could change that, it would be great. Breakfast was excellent. "
