"We wanted a quiet getaway in the Shenandoah valley. We found it with this lovely home. My favorite spot was sitting on the covered back deck, listening to the brook. The pool table was an added bonus. The kitchen had everything we needed. The views as we biked down the road to the sugar house was the best. Ellis and Manette are the perfect host. If we ever head back, we would absolutely rent this home again. "

Had everything you would need for a great getaway including wood and starter logs for a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace. The property is astounding!!. Stargazing was a delight! "Great little cabin that was comfy and very inviting. By far one of the best cabins we have ever stayed in. Loved the closeness to the river and the drive on up the road was absolutely beautiful with the fall colors. As we were leaving we were already making plans to come back!"

"The Haven was all that I had hoped for. It's nestled in the woods without being too far away from everything. The house is clean and comfortable. All the extra little touches are what really made it perfect, including the eggs, milk, juice, and other food items, chocolates, drinks and snacks, and outside items. I enjoyed sitting on the covered porch area and relaxing in the cool moutnain air. I will definitely be going back!"

"Just what we were looking for in terms of how to spend a 3-day weekend: cozy cabin with lovely views, comfortable furnishings, and charming decor. Of all my vacation rental stays, this one was probably the most hospitable in that nothing seemed to be lacking. Plenty of towels/linens of top-notch quality, and no problem that I didn't bring my own soap/shampoo...plenty of both provided. Same with the coffee: functioning maker with plenty of coffee options plus cream and sweeteners. (Very rare for a rental to have all these components!) Older fixtures but well cared for and convenient; nothing broken or missing. Also very nice touches, such as complimentary wine and snack basket featuring locally produced items. The space was clearly appointed by someone who put a lot of thought into a guest's needs and comfort. The bed + linens made me want to sleep in all day and never get up...everything nicer than anything I own! Overall, charming first impression and comfortable stay."

"Our stay in this cozy cabin could not have been more perfect! From the babbling brook to the tranquil surroundings, this spot is truly a slice of heaven! Check in could not have been easier and we were even greeted with jam and fresh apples! Neighbors were friendly in passing and we just enjoyed being unplugged for the weekend. We hiked, played in the creek, made campfires, laid in the hammock and enjoyed many games of Checkers on the front porch. It was a quintessential Fall weekend in WV and this little rustic cabin was absolutely perfect for our needs! "
