"Even though I live in the East Bay, if I’m attending an event that will end late, I prefer to stay overnight in S.F. if a good hotel rate can be found. The first place I check is the Chancellor. I usually get a decent rate. It is centrally located near Union Square. It is still owned by the same family that built it after the 1906 earthquake. It has a home & family feeling - old San Francisco. It’s a great place."

"Very nice and clean hotel. Very kind personnel. Only issue is that even if you stay more than one day, we actually stayed 4 nights, there is room cleaning / service only only when you check in. This is becoming common in all US hotels , from the Covid time, they save thousands of dollars .. but it is somehow disappointing as they still charge you the same price for each night you stay more. There should be a discount for multiple Night stay if they do not offer the service. To be fair they have a notice in the bathroom that the service is visible on demand for basic service. Anyway a great hotel ! "

"My second stay at Bay Landing. Affordable and a good value. This family-owned property is solid. It doesn't promise "fancy," only a well-maintained facility that delivers. I arrived at the hotel at 1 a.m. after my flight was delayed. Even at this hour, the desk manager, Chris, was cordial and helpful. And as he said, the hotel breakfast was warm and ready at 6 a.m. Nothing fancy, but rock solid. I will return. "
