"Staff and environment was just top tier. From checking in, and dining in the restaurant, we had no issues during our stay. The rooms are cozy and clean and comfortable. Although the hot tub was closed off, we still enjoyed our stay. The Ohia room was beautiful. Dining dinner options was excellent and great quality food and lots to explore around volcano area! "What a beautiful slice of paradise—a little sweet cottage with everything we needed —off the grid (but still close enough to groceries and great restaurants) with excellent hikes and beaches nearby. Eric and Susie were excellent hosts with delicious breakfasts featuring local fruits and visits from their friendly cat, Slash. We left happy and relaxed. "

"This was booked last minute due to a last minute cancellation for another property. Beautiful property especially for the earthy type of individual. It was perfect for my needs however I don’t see people staying here that require more of an upscale type of setting. Leaving the room to use the community restroom is probably the only thing that was not too thrilling. All in all it fulfilled my expectations."
