"Wonderful place, up close to volcano, beautiful grounds, flowers and birds everywhere. Pictures don't do it justice. Staff all extremely helpful, we had a flat tire the last day of our trip and had a flight to catch - one staff member took us to an air pump on site, but then we discovered the nail in the tire, so another staff member helped us put on the spare and we managed to make our flight! So very grateful! Food delicious at the restaurant as well. Hope to come back here some day."

"We love to relax at this resort. If you want to just lounge around in the rainforest, this is a great place to do it. The cabins are modest, but the facilities are a little more updated. This resort has everything you need so you don't have to leave if you don't want to. The massages at the spa are amazing. There is a zip lining adventure right in the resort if you want. "This was the perfect spot for our family’s first time to La Fortuna and Costa Rica. If you don’t mind the drive into town for activities, which we didn’t at all, this place is quiet and beautiful! We loved sitting at both open-air restaurants and having a drink while our kids swam in the hot springs. The hiking trail and river slide/swimming were beautiful. We saw lots of birds and heard all the cicadas and howler monkeys in the evenings. We would definitely stay again!"

"Very good experience with everything. Staff were helpful and friendly. The bungalows are large and very unique. Close enough to the city but far enough away to feel safe. Great location next to the jungle and the river walk. The Howler monkeys woke us up early each morning but that was part of the whole experience. Very good food at the onsite restaurant as well. We would definitely stay there again."

"Location up in the rain forest was beautiful. Really felt far removed from town, even though it really wasn’t that far. Staff is amazing; attentive and friendly. The view from the main lodge was so peaceful. Rooms are large albeit a little spartan but I do appreciate their eco practices. The food at the restaurant was the best we had while in Costa Rica."

"While the room was quite spartan, the grounds are beautiful, as is the large deck with a spectacular view of the volcano, Arenal. The staff, especially Anderson and William, were warm, friendly, immediately responsive. Communal meals were delicious and a fun way to commune with fellow travelers. The only disappointment was the distance from the Arenal national park- a good 40 to 45 minute drive from the resort. "

"We travel quite a bit and have stayed in many vacation homes. This one was, hands-down our favorite. The house is beautiful and thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need. The view is stunning. The owner/host was so kind and made our stay even more memorable. Even our two teenage boys loved the house and didn’t want to leave! "Loved the huge, beautiful grounds and the activities offered at the resort. We did the tubing and horseback riding - great fun and so convenient that it was at the resort. Concierge was very helpful finding us local tours, arranging transportation, etc. And good dining options too. We ate every meal at the resort except lunch during excursions. Really convenient and relaxing to have good dining at the resort. We loved the hot springs by the river, especially the one right above the waterfall. Very good resort for family. "

"This place is so beautiful! All the rainforest jungle landscaping is phenomenal. The location is perfect in the middle of all activities and the view of the volcano is the best. We had both a sunny day, cloudy and rainy day and all were great there. The hot springs are well shaded from sun and rain. The buffet breakfast is great and my kids loved the nachos, burgers and wood-Fire pizza at the bar. Their Asian salad was amazing as well! I was happy with the prices being very reasonable - $10-$12 meals. My daughter and I even shared a pizza a couple times so that was a $6 meal for us each. I was surprised it didn’t feel crowded, even during spring break. "
