"Bahia Rica Was an oasis in Paquera. We stayed for one night and did the bioluminescent tour and Isla Tortuga. The guest house was a rustic sanctuary where you feel one with nature. Lots of monkeys, and beautiful birdwatching. 253 steps down to a secluded beach where we had breakfast and we’re given various choices of cuisine. Isla Tortuga was awesome with Juan as a guide. "The staff was incredibly welcoming and hospitable. I have never been greeted with such open arms and taken care of after all the staff was done for the evening. They came out and cooked me and my two colleagues and wonderful meal and delighted us with stories and suggestions for activities. A must stay if coming to the area!"

"It was okay - neighbourhood is gross (like a lot of cities and towns in Costa Rica) it’s filthy with garbage everywhere, broken sidewalks, stray dogs, etc. not really anywhere to eat except little roadside stands. But the hotel itself was good, very clean. Okay for a night if you’re just passing through."

"Great stay. Attentive host. A very nice place sitting on a hillside overlooking the ocean and beautiful Playa Blanca beach at the foot of the hill. Enjoyed hanging out at the large terrace and taking in the amazing view. Saw a good number of scarlet macaws and flocks of pelicans. Down at the beach saw a troop of capuchin monkeys. Would go back in a minute. "
