"Main issue we had was smoking from adjacent room seeping in from connecting door as well as noisy neighbours. Food is v good however and pool and outside areas all pleasant. Transport onto Cairo sightseeing all easy and cabs etc can be called with ease and quickly. "

"Be aware that if your room is facing the Tahrir square side you will be listening to loud Arabic music until 1:00 AM. - courtesy of their Lebanese restaurant. For me it was annoying as I couldn't sleep the first night luckily they moved me the following night to the Nile river side. Everything else was fine. The Italian restaurant was good but not great. I would have given this hotel 5 stars. "

"Property is very old, so I do understand a bit of difficulty. Very hot when we were there, and ac cpuld not really cool room. Limited and dodgy wifi. Staff very eager to please. Tours arranged with Mr. Samir Fayek from hotel were great. Jotel has fewat driver and ac van for tour use, and Mohammed was a great guide! He spoke uent English, plus several ither languages. We were easily able to see all the sights."

"I like the name and legacy. I didn’t like the furniture that needs upgrading within 2-3 years, I didn’t like room service that needed a new menu and chef, I didn’t like the relative lack of training of staff at concierge and overall. I didn’t like being told all restaurants open until 1 am when only two were open. I didn’t like the smell of the cigar room reception. I didn’t like the Lebanese restaurant Zaitouni; it should be replaced immediately. "
