"The owner was selling and there was no staff, no manager to help me as promised. There was only one woman there part time to clean. There was no breakfast. The owner gave me a larger room at the same rate to compensate. But, this really still was uncomfortable I was the only person in this large house for most of my stay. Yes, the only person. "The neighborhood is pretty quiet, and the house is at the end of a dead-end street, so even better. The apartment is one of four in the house, and very well appointed for a few days or longer. It has everything you need to visit the city, included a washing machine. We had a rental car, which would normally park on the street, but the owner was generous and allowed us to park in the garage as no one else was using it at the time. "This was a great hotel in the middle of everything in San Jose. The rooms were clean, although the one we stayed in did have a musty smell. The breakfast was great. The staff was top notch. Parking was easy. The area around the hotel was good. This is the middle of a huge city, so there are always big city issues. We would stay at this hotel again."

"The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are large, bright, and clean. Lots of great seating areas within the hotel and gardens. Security is excellent. Very walkable neighborhood with lots of dining options. Been here before and will return again!"
