"Small 12 room resort with beautiful bungalows and great views of the pinnacles of El Nido. Gorgeous sunsets! Staff were extremely attentive, dining options were great and several other restaurants available right from our beach that were great culinary options. A quick tricycle trip for $2.50CDN gets you into the town of El Nido with some shopping and restaurant options as well as great dive shops. Rooms were beautiful but bed was very hard. Thanks to Joel for treating us like family. "

"Lovely staff and amazing location to explore El Nido. The breakfast was good with a nice view. There were a few minor imperfections with the hotel room - squeaky bed, rattling windows and grimy bathroom. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at the Aqua Lodge for a good price and would recommend."

"The hotel staff were really helpful and lovely. The room was clean and comfortable although it would have been better if we had a balcony. The area is very noisy so this is not the place to stay if you want a peaceful and relaxing holiday. It is very convenient for the island hopping tours though and there are plenty of options for places to eat and drink. "

As soon as we pushed our luggage out of the door of our accommodation staff nearby rushed over to take it for us; they are attentive and very helpful. The pool is cooler than normal Philippines pools - we found this to be better because it was easier to cool down and relax in the heat again. No kids running around was a big bonus. "We really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Monkey. The staff was great. The breakfast in the morning was good and filling with strong brewed coffee served by a nice girl named Vanz. There was another server, but I missed her name. The wonderful July at the desk arranged our tour and rides to the airport. Pads the tuk tuk driver was great, also helped carry our luggage to the second floor room with a great view. It’s not a high end resort, but very comfortable with a short ride or 15 minute walk...
