"Very spacious and nicely decorated room with lovely cottage gardens. Very comfortable bed and great radiator heating in the bedroom and bathroom. Given the historical nature of the building it is in very good condition. The only issue I found was the lack of sound insulation between the rooms but appreciate it be hard to fix this however getting woken in the middle of the night with guests next door talking wasn’t great. I however know which rooms to book in future to avoid this issue....

"Everything was to our liking - particularly the spaciousness of the room and the cleanliness. We didn't take breakfast as we felt that NZ$38 per person was a bridge too far... Hopefully, the hotel in future could offer some less expensive options."

"Staying here for three nights was a nice experience, we had an apartment on the top floor and the balcony and view from both lower and upper levels was wonderful. The apartment was very spacious. Staff were very friendly. Only down side was the traffic noise coming from the street outside during the night. But overall a very nice place."
