"The hotel is in an idyllic location very near the south coast of Tromoy island, with a pebbly beach and cafe within easy walking distance and a petrol station/shop and also supermarket within a mile or two. It is on Google Maps which is how we navigated our rented car there - our car sat nav did not know how to reach it! Despite arriving late in the evening the staff managed to rustle up an excellent late-night snack for us both. The breakfasts are superb and the indoor pool excellent - used it...

However our room was cramped in relation to the prize we paid for it, and it was very hot. The least the hotel could do in a building where installing AC is impossible, is to provide fans. Also there naturally were no elevators, but the hotel could have provided porters, which would also have been historically correct. Our 5 course dinner was good, but one...
