"This hotel is an easy walk up the street from the train station and there are numerous dining options in the area. Good home base for exploring Matsumoto. The hotel itself is nice, but the rooms are rather small, if you are used to "Western" accommodations. The baths are very nice, segregated and get a lot of use. The free laundry (wash was free, dryer was not) was a nice feature for travelers. They also offer a free bow of ramen at night!"

There is a lot of choice in the breakfast and evening buffets. Our booking through Expedia also allowed access to "the lounge" where you could get drinks and nibbles at set times, late afternoon and evening. The only annoying thing was a booking system for breakfast and dinner. Dinner slots went live at 3pm and breakfast at 9pm...
