"The location is great and the building could be totally CHARMING if there was more effort, cleanliness, and thought put into it. Our pillows did not even have pillowcases on them, there were stains on the bed sheets and they smelled like mold, our room was super hot and small, and the shower was moldy and not clean. The staff was friendly enough though. I can definitely handle rough hostels etc, but this was advertised very differently and we were at the point in our trip when we wanted...

"This is a lovely hotel. There are hammocks for chilling. Good pool. The air con in the room works well. We were disappointed not to be told that there was a broken pipe in the hotel as of Jan 2025 which means no hot water. The rates should be reduced or a complimentary drink would be good to compensate for this, particularly as this was a reason for booking. The staff are helpful.
