"The Koko Hotel was our favorite place to stay in Japan. The room was styled nicely and clean. It was the perfect location in Kumamoto - shopping and food were in the complex downstairs. Kumamoto Castle was a very short walk. The hotel buffett was amazing and reasonably priced. "

"I love the traditional tatami rooms here. The ‘Bekkan’ is an annex and based in an older building that is charmingly done. It has its own baths, but you have access to the bigger and outdoor baths at the main building a block away. We hadn’t ticked the dinner box when reserving. Dining options in this town may be somewhat limited as most onsen inns serve meals inside. The restaurants fill up. We ordered the dinner when we arrived. It is a bit pricey, but is a all you can eat buffet with Japanese, Chinese and som western options. The drinks are included as well. The rooms were authentic and the baths excellent. This whole town is duper charming and fun to explore. "

"We have great experience staying in this Hotel. The room is spacious and well designed for 4 people. Enjoyed the roof top Spa , the breakfast bar also serves quality food 💕with great views. We loved the location to the shopping dinning and to Castles as well. Highly recommend to who want to find a place to stay in Kumamoto. "
