Gilpin Bridge Inn
5/5 Excellent
Great place to stay to explore the lakes
"Overall, the stay was very good and was perfect for our trip to the Lake District. The location is perfect for navigating the Lakes as easy access to the M6. To the top of the lakes, it took us 1 hour by car. The continental breakfast served was plenty to start each day with. You can have cooked for £12 extra but we felt the continental option was more than enough.
The room was spacious and up to date. We stayed in the Herdsman. Only downside was the walls are very thin, meaning you can hear quite a lot next door conversation but that is to be expected in a pub with partition walls.
The pub itself is traditional and well kept together. Food served was standard pub food. Free parking is always a massive bonus."
