"Great property. Our only opinion is the basement is a little cool and damp. Location is good drive away from Blowing Rock. Owners are excellent. Rustic and charming.Elevation is roughly 3,400 feet according to topographic maps, but I could be a bit off.Enjoyed the stay."

"We arrived at night and were not able to see the creek until we woke up the next morning. It's so close to the house and you can hear it with the kitchen window open. When we arrived, cookies and snacks were waiting for us and treats for the dog! The heat was on when we got there, which is a really nice touch as well. We are hot natured anyway, but it was so much nicer to come into a warm place than to walk into a cold place. We weren't really going to use the kitchen, so I didn't really care...

"Great home base for a ski trip to Beech. The split units made it easy for everyone to sleep comfortably. The younger kids enjoyed the backyard when they had enough of the slopes. Had some issues with the fireplace but nothing major and I’m sure is a quick and easy fix. "

"This was the perfect place to stay after a long, fun day at Beech Mountain. Would definitely stay here again and bring a friend!"

"Not fancy, but nice enough. Appliances are old, but work. Parking was our only issue. Not sure where three cars can fit, as the ad says. 4-wheel drive vehicle is a must to get out the main entrance. We only had 2-wheel drive vehicles and had to go out the longer back way every time we left. Road gets plowed after snow, but no salt or dirt added, so still pretty slippery. It was too cold to use any of the outdoor amenities, but it was warm and cozy inside."
