"Checking in was easy. Good English spoken. Lobby is very pleasant. Room was clean and above all quiet all night. Shower was lovely. Temperature perfect. Price we paid was really good value. After a reasonably late arrival on a Sunday we found plenty of eating options very nearby. "

"Good Hostel...the staff is very kind. One thing to know is that they have discontinued the breakfast and have a "vending machine breakfast". It's ok...but it is good to know this upfront as they used to do a full breakfast spread. Otherwise....it is a great place, clean, and in an easy to get around area."

"Not the best location, there wasn’t any toilet paper or hand soap. Had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to come on reception to check us in. Very rude and dismissive staff. Rooms were cold, no hot water in the shared bathroom. Walls were thin so could hear a lot of noise from other rooms and outside the door. "

"Wombat's is about as good as a hostel can get. I met some great people that i went to the grand prix with in my room. Fairly clean and our room had its own bathroom. The only negative was that the room was pretty hot at night but what can you expect when it's 95 degrees F every day. Overall it was a great experience."

It was just a few minutes walk to the Oktogon metro station and the trams that will take you straight to the parliament and castle district (change to bus 16 after crossing the river). 3 minutes away is a pizza place that stays open until 2am. "Only once did we see an employee sitting behind the front desk. No one was around when we needed them. If you need to check out of a hotel elsewhere in the city and then move over to Smartments, your luggage might just have to sit unattended in the lobby if you can’t reach anyone on the phone. I won’t stay here again due to the limited hours of expected front desk availability, let alone the actual nearly non-existent availability of hotel staff. "
